Rowney Warren Wood

Houghton Regis - Chalk Hill
Disused chalk quarry with plenty of trails, routes and climbs. It can very slippery in the wet, being a chakl quarry, but a lot of fun when try. Free parlking on Tribly Way for easy access. There's a lake at the south corner, fishers maybe present but otherwise great location to launch a boat.
Almscliffe Crag
A larger set of rocks, steep crawling lines and challenging rountes. Not a large area but can be entertaining for a few hours. plenty of routes to take.
Can be busy with rock climbers, parking is free but limited.
Higger Tor
Scenic crawling spot with steep rocks. Free roadside parking, it often gets snowed over in the winter. Trail can be extended to and epic one from Padley Gorge to Sanage edge.
Padley Gorge
Amazing scenic trails along a fast flowing river. Parking at the icecream van, can be limited, but free. Can walk eother side of the river. Trail can be extended to and epic one from through Surprise view all the way to Sanage edge.
Cow and Calf rocks
Great trail dive and crawling rocks. Free parking, but fills up quickly.
Modelsport isn't too far away if you any spare parts when something breaks.
Kritlington Quarry
Disused quarry, some trails and crawling spots. Parking on Mill Lane
Balckstone Edge
Secenic trail drive with some challenging rocks at the top, some rock crawls on the way and nice trail to follow to the top. Scenic views, can see Manchester on a clear day. Parking is limited at the White House Pub - free car park next to it, but low vehicles may scrape the bottom.
Hint- cross the narow bridge on your left soon after entering the trail for better trail up to the top.
Hawks Nest
Rocky hillslide, pleny of lines, great crawling spot. Access is limited as all the roads are very narrow and parking is also restricted. The location is very close to 3 Shires Head which is a beauty spot and also has some nice water crossing and rock crawling possibilities, the the crawling can be extended to a scenit trail drive.
Ramsden Road
Ramsden road. Green Lane (may now be TRO'd)
steep rocky road to clim, pleny of paths and rocks on the side. The marker is athe the middle. anything that's not on streer view is of RC interest,
Being a Green lane pleny of ruts and obstacles created by full size 4x4s that are great challenge for the RC ones.
Street view shows the way in to get in there. Parking at the top (from White Gate road). drivable gravel road. From the bottom: Brown Hill lane, exrtemely narrow but paved road. Limited parking.

Ogmore Beach
Long sandy, and rocky beach on the Welsh coast. Amazing location, wide open area, sand dunes, rocks, water crossings (salt water). Pay parking either: Newton beack car park, Pen-y-Bont, Candlestion Castle.
If you park and Pay-y-Bont you may not be able to cross to the marked area, but that side of the river also has some good rocky areas.
Ivinghoe Circular Walk
Long scenic trail drive along the Ivinghoe Circulat walk. Can be cut short or extended. The marked location is a really steep gravely climb that can test uphil capabilities for crawlers. Plenty of free parking spots along Beacon Rd, Plenty ot trails and paths to choose from.
Addlesone
Woodlands behind the fire station - there's a BMX track nearby, but there are nice crawling options and some optiononal water crossings just by the gate. Parking is free but limited to a few cars.
Brooklands Circuit
The Old Brooklands circuits has some trailing possibilities in the woodlands. You can test your climbing angles on the bent old trackside, the marked area is a nice little track, for larger scale RC bashers, but can do a few laps around. The place can be busy with children and dog walkers, but a great spot to take out an RC
Epping Forest - Strabwerry Hill Ponds
Tralil drive from any carpark, the pond has some good crawling spots on the side.
The whole of Epping Forest is nice for a trail drive, plenty of spots.
Biggest challenge can be mud after rain,
Can be busy with walkers and cyclists.
Snake Woodland
Trail drive off Snake Pass. Free but busy parking, no reception, scenic views.
Cross Snake pass and descend to the woodlands. Going right is a dead end, going left you can follow the river, cross it then head up the stream for some nice steep areas to crawl
Ockham
Woodland for trail drive, plenty of routes. Parking either at the cafe or at the Pond carpark.
Mitchell's House Reservoirs
Small but exciting sport for a trail driving/crawl day. Plenty of hill, lines and routes to take. One huge slab of steep rock to test tires and courage

Steetley Quarry
Disused quarry, plenty of trails, steep climbs, washouts. perfect for a trail drive or bashers in the open areas. Can be popular with cyclists and dogwalkers. S
Longdendale Trail
Scenic Trail drive starting off from the disused Woodhead railway station, follow the path east along the river then up the valley. The end, close to the waterfall gets challending even on foot but the waterfall view is worth it. Plenty of areas to set out some courses at the marked area, water crossings, rock crawing
Stanage Edge
Rocky edge with plenty of challending crawing spots. Free parking at: Upper Burbage, Hooks Carr Car park, The Dale Road Hollin Bank Car park, Dennis Knoll car park
Can be busy with hiker and climbers, but pretty nice spot otherwise. Great views.

Formby Beach
Wide open sandy beach, grasslands, sand dunes. Suitable for all kinds of RC.
Parking is as per National Trust, can be congested on nice days.
Gread day out, the beach is also dog friendly.
Otley Chevin Forest Park
Forest park with plenty of good trails, rocks, steep climbs and some water crossings. 2x free parking, but they fill up quick on E Chevin Road.

Old Mam Tor Road
Scenic view of the old road that was destroyed in a landslid. Results in great crawling spots on the upper half of the old road. Free parking either end, lots of walkers on the route. Can be extended all the way up to Mam Tor, but this area is the best for crawlers
Langsett Reserviors
Trail drive alroun the reservoir. The marked spot is a shallow river, plenty of steep rockly climbs, Waterfall climbs, River crossings, Dam-uphill if you're brave. Free parking at Langsett Flouch carpark - has height restriction
Aspley Heath
Now redundant green lane, some nice lines. Woodland with plenyt of trails either side
Beware of MTB downhil tracks (some trails doesn't allow pedestrians) and also some horsing tracks. Free parking at either end of the marked spot.
Curbar Edge
Long circulare loop along a rocky edge with plenty of good lines. Parking can be limited and also not free, but has amazing views of the valley below
Surprise View
Surprise View carpark. Have to pay for parking. Rocky trail up all the way to Mother Cap. Trail can be extended to and epic one from Padley Gorge to Sanage edge.
Wharncliffe Craggs
Rocky trail with some gread and difficult lines. Parking on Plank Gate, through some tunnels or also a tricky trail along the River Don. loop drive
Also a MTB track, and watch out for cown and bulls as you may come across them.
Blue Lagoon
Trail diving alround a small pond. Small area, a few routes,
You can launch a boat to the lake from a trailer at the north east corner
Black Rock
Crawling location with plenty of steep climbs up the main rocks, A trail drive to the back of the rocks is also possible.
Parking is not free and is cash only.
Fountains are found on the walking path so you can clean the trucks a bit before you put them away.
Bolehills BMX track
BMX track for a club, but often deserted/not too busy and has a good few jumps. well maintained, fun to take a basher out.
Rivelin Valley Trail
Hillside trail with a small river, plenty of paths that are not busy with walkers, some good climbs and rocky washouts. Roadside parking. Can be busy with walkers but nice view ther further up you go
Lady Cannings to Fox House Green lane
Long trail drive, parking at either end, rocks and stones to climb, plenty of spots along the byway. Some cows and some 4x4s

Steep and challending crawling location up a narrow trail

Challenging trail near a steep brook. Wet and muddy most times. Popular with hikers
